Parents Dating

In a lot of posts, I have often mentioned single parents dating other single parents.  Of course, it is not necessary that you find another single parent to date.  There is a very good chance that you will find a very caring single person who does not have children.  A great place to meet a variety of people who are looking to date is by speed dating.  There, you may be able  to meet both single parents and single people who do not have children. 

So, if you’ve ever wondered what speed dating is, here’s an explanation.  It has been depicted quite well on some television shows.  Basically, it is a bunch of people who meet at a specific location, and have a chance to meet everyone there within a specified time period.  This allows just enough time for you to get a bit of information about the person in order to decide if you want to get to know that person more.

Typically, speed dating has been done in person where everyone there sits down at the tables, and you go around from table to table meeting the other people there.  You will have a specified length of time to be at each table.  This will depend on the location you are speed dating at, but it could be as little as a couple of minutes to as much as ten minutes or so.  When the timer goes, you move to a new table.

If you find someone that is also interested in getting to know you better, you can exchange phone numbers then. For general safety reasons,  you may want to provide a cell phone number, and not provide your last name until you get to know this person better.  You can also wait until the end to decide who you would like to get to know better, and if that other person is interested in you too, then you can exchange information for a later date.

What is great about speed dating is that single parents meet others within time confines.  Therefore, this can allow you to meet a large amount of people in a relatively short of time, as time is something that is a precious commodity for single parents.

Speed dating is also done online, so there is another option to save you even more time.
