Dating Ideas That Include Your Older Children
I want to emphasize that it is important that you only introduce your children to the person you are dating, and include your children in your dating once it is certain that your relationship is strong and appears long-term.
Including your children in dates with someone you see a future with is important, because it allows you to see how your children and the person you are dating relate with one another. It can also bring out everyone’s fun side, which can be a great ice breaker and way to get to know someone.
- Go to a Waterpark - Some of the bigger waterparks have family rafts, which can be great fun for a family date.
- Go Roller/Inline Skating - Go to a rink where you can do this. The groovy music is sure to add a lot of fun as you whip around the rink with others there.
- Go to the Zoo – Pack a picnic lunch, and make an afternoon out of it.
- Go to a Baseball or Some Other Sports Game – Hopefully, you will be cheering for the same team, but if not, never compromise by being someone you’re not.
- Go to the Beach – enjoy time in the water, snacking, and building sand castles.
- Play a Boardgame or Have a Games Night Competition – You may want to choose games that require cooperation and teams. Games like Win, Lose, or Draw can be a lot of fun.
- Go to the Park - Bike there, bring some kites to fly, and have a lunch.
- Watch a Movie – Make popcorn and have other munchies, and drinks.
- Rent Paddleboats – and head onto the lake. Don’t forget your lifejackets!
- Take Lessons of Some Sort - It could be lessons on rock climbing, snorkeling, dancing, whatever you all agree on.
There are so many different ideas. You just need to use your imagination and find something that will be fun for all of you. The more fun it is, the more everyone will enjoy it, and the better the date will go.
